Hi Folks,
This email today is gonna be a doozy, so if you don’t have 5-10 minutes to read it, here’s the super short version:
The Minocqua Brewing Company Super PAC is trying to remove U.S. Senator Ron Johnson and U.S. Reps Tom Tiffany and Scott Fitzgerald from the 2022 ballot with a lawsuit claiming they aided and abetted the January 6th insurrection. We think we have a strong case and we’re going to need some help funding the lawsuit.
Take a moment to read that paragraph again because this is pretty huge stuff. We’re suing a sitting U.S. senator and two congressmen for trying to break America.
Here’s the whole story:
Today is Sunday, March 13, 2022, exactly 1 year, 2 months, and 9 days after I created the Minocqua Brewing Company Super PAC, whose mission was to remove Senator Ron Johnson and Congressman Tom Tiffany from office because they voted against the Covid Relief Bill which saved so many Wisconsin businesses in the hospitality industry.
On January 6, 2021, 2 days after the Super PAC was created, insurrectionists stormed the U.S. capitol. They were radicalized by Johnson, Tiffany, and Fitzgerald, who used their pulpits to preach the Big Lie that Trump won the election.
Since that day, the Super PAC’s stated purpose has been to remove these guys from office because they helped Trump almost get away with a presidential coup.
Last week, with the help of 10 plaintiffs from all over Wisconsin and some brilliant Milwaukee lawyers from Leitner, Laffey, and Goode, we filed a federal lawsuit against this “Gang of 3” claiming that as part of section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, they can no longer run for office because they aided and abetted the insurrection of January 6th.
The suit is making its way through news outlets around the country, but because the actual filing was over 70 pages long, here is the Cliff’s Notes version of how we think this “gang of three” was part of the Jan 6 insurrection:
The insurrection involved a multi-faceted plan to circumvent the popular (and electoral) vote to steal a win from Biden and install Trump for a second term. And almost everyone played their part:
Trump demanded a win and the White House directed the actors.
Trump’s lawyers (Eastman, Chesebro) devised a strategy that 7 states, including Wisconsin, would submit fraudulent electors claiming Trump won instead of Biden. This strategy included three scenarios:
- VP Mike Pence would accept those fraudulent electors on Jan 6 instead of the real ones, making Trump the winner.
- Pence would throw out the real electors AND the fake ones, citing that the elections in these states were too rigged and confusing to accept, and hand the election over to the House of Representatives. In this scenario, each state would get only one vote (meaning that huge states like California would have equal weight to small states like Wisconsin), and Trump would win.
- Pence would force the state legislatures in the 7 states with fraudulent electors to figure out a process to re-tabulate their electors, and since Wisconsin has a majority Republican (and really corrupt) legislature, they’d figure out a way to make Trump win.
Eastman and Chesebro knew that the American people wouldn’t stand for scenario “1” because it was WAY TOO CRAZY, but they thought that if enough Republican leaders kept saying that the election was rigged in these 7 states, we voters would get confused and might be willing to accept scenarios “2” and “3,” even though they were totally illegal.
So, they allegedly recruited the false electors, (Hitt, Feehan & Co.) to commit fraud in Wisconsin and 6 other states, and they allegedly recruited Johnson, Tiffany, and Fitzgerald (and legislators from the other 6 states) to shout lies for 2 straight months to confuse and enrage the hell out of their voters,.
The culmination of 2 month’s worth of lying and fraud led to violence on January 6, and in that violent confusion, Pence was supposed to pull off the biggest crime ever—to steal the election from Biden and hand it to Trump.
It’s like a bank heist. Not everyone in the heist actually robs the bank. You need the guy to drive the get-away car and the guy to watch the bank for a week to see when the guards come and go.
Pence and the false electors were the folks that were supposed to actually “rob the bank,” or commit the actual crimes of fraud and stealing an election, but the guys that “drove the get-away car,” or told the “Big Lie” to confuse, bewilder, and radicalize voters were Johnson, Tiffany, and Fitzgerald, along with the other congressional liars from other states. But driving the get-away car is still “aiding and abetting” a crime, meaning these guys still allegedly broke the law.
So, as much as we hate to say this, we’ve come to the realization that the ONLY person who stood in the way of pulling off this gigantic “democracy heist” that would have caused a massive constitutional crisis and probably would have led us into civil war, was Mike Pence.
Mike Pence.
Even though this story is about Wisconsin criminals, we can’t believe we had to rely on Mike Pence, of all people, to save America that day.
So that’s our story. We believe that Wisconsin’s fraudulent electors, as well as Ron Johnson, Tom Tiffany, and Scott Fitzgerald, broke laws by aiding an attempted insurrection.
And the 14th amendment of the U.S. constitution says that if you did that, you can’t run for office again.
Let’s hope a judge agrees with us.
So this is where I ask you for money to help fund this lawsuit.
The Super PAC has already paid a small fortune to get this lawsuit off the ground, and we think it was money well spent. It is a huge effort to organize 10 plaintiffs; figure out the laws surrounding a civil war era constitutional amendment; and piece together the story of this attempted insurrection involving 7 states, 7 groups of false electors, hundreds of lawmakers, shady White House strategists, and how these three Wisconsin legislators fit into that conspiracy machine.
As I’ve stated before, my Super PAC SHOULDN’T REALLY BE DOING THIS. Our taxes pay federal and state attorney generals to defend our land from criminals and insurrectionists, but no one has come to defend Wisconsin yet. Given how long lawsuits last, we couldn’t wait any longer to file this one if we were going to have ANY CHANCE of removing these guys from the 2022 ballot.
We know that the Republican Party will spend whatever it takes to fight this lawsuit, because it has huge ramifications for who will ultimately hold the congressional majority in 2022.
I’m thinking, all told, this suit could cost $300,000 to fight over the next six months, which is a lot of money to give to lawyers. But it’s not just lawyers--it’s a small army of staff also doing a lot of leg work, and believe me, these guys are smart and passionately committed to bringing justice to Wisconsin and America.
I know that’s a lot to ask, but I think we can do it. To date, the Super PAC has raised over $400K from 11 thousand donors, with an average contribution of around $40. We’ve sued school boards for ignoring CDC Covid guidelines, played anti-gerrymandering commercials during Green Bay Packer playoff games, hired community organizers to help progressives run for county boards, and put billboards up all over Northern Wisconsin calling out Johnson and Tiffany for their “Big Lie,” among many other initiatives.
This lawsuit is BY FAR the biggest thing we’ve ever done, but it’s also the most important and 100% central to our mission of getting rid of Wisconsin’s traitors.
Here's the link to donate, and as always, 5% of the proceeds from our beer and merch sales also go to the Super PAC.
Thanks for your continued support everyone. We’re hope you are as excited about this lawsuit and the implications it has for our democracy as we are.
